"For all who believe in the importance of the arts in education, and particularly for the classroom teachers"
August 2005
Hello Teachers and Friends of Pat,
Recently I heard the lyrics, “Canvas of the Mind,” used in a country song. (Yes, I’m a little bit country). The phrase reminded me of all the challenges in teaching students, especially at this time of the year, to use their minds in positive, creative ways. With these thoughts in mind, thanks to all of you who continue to use the arts in your teaching so that “no child is left behind.”
This newsletter announces the winners of the 2005 Moss Foundation Teacher Grants and describes some of the activities that have been going on with the Moss Foundation since the last newsletter and announces some of the future events.

While taking a tour of the Museum, the staff had the children look for the weather and shapes Pat Moss uses in her art. The children enjoyed their Museum tour and ate lunch on the Museum lawn before returning to school.
